Are you a huge people person? Do you really like to write? How's your general level of web-fu? If you've got all those traits and are interested in getting into the games industry, then Sony Online Entertainment may just have the job for you. Apparently they need a Community Relations Manager in their new SOE Tucson offices to help support their most recent addition to the SOE lineup, PoxNora.

Today marks a very special event for the players of Pirates of the Burning Sea. Starting at 3:45 PST / 11:45 GMT, a ship skirmish event will take place on the Testbed server to analyze the effectiveness of the ship skirmish system. Named "The Battle of Gull Point", this event will match four teams of twelve players each to battle it out using "all of your ship combat skills to defeat your opponents".

Have you been looking for a sci-fi spaceship shoot-em-up along the lines of EVE Online, but without the long skill training times? Well, if Black Prophecy's shiny new website is any indication, this may be an MMO for you to put on your watch-list. Admittedly, the information on their new site is quite sparse at the moment. That said, if the shiny new screen caps they sent us today from the current build are any indication, it's going to be a luscious-looking game.

Yesterday, Matt Low of the our sister site WoW Insider and the very awesome World of Matticus blog pointed out a fairly interesting conversation going on over at PlusHeal. Apparently, the original poster had been using the phrase 'shut up' during a raid to try to quiet down people cross-chattering over voice comms, but after dealing with the upset it caused, they're looking for something new and more effective instead of 'shut up'.

Multiboxing. It sounds like cheating when you have one man controlling two or more characters, but it's more of a pain to work with than it is a straight out cheat. Whatever your feelings are on the situation though, you have to admit, people who do multiboxing have some tremendously interesting setups and rigs to accomplish this difficult feat. The Escapist has just let loose a feature article detailing the stories of users who multibox, why they do it, and exactly how they accomplish it on their game of choice. It's a very interesting look at the whole situation, especially when the reasons of why these normal people choose to run more account at once in their favorite game rather than just join groups or work solo are fully explained.

It's been a few months since I have written Ask Massively, and I am sorry to say that this will be my last column for Massively. Before I leave you guys with something to think about, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Elizabeth, Krystalle, and the folks at Massively for allowing me to have this forum. It has been a pleasure working with them, and it has been a pleasure writing for you. So, I hold in my hand, the last envelope... Dear Massively, Aside from "Find a soft spot to fall when you hear your puller say 'Oops' " Do you have any last words of wisdom to impart before you leave? -Grimthorn Redbeard At the risk of answering a question that is way too generic for a single column, allow me to present you with 10 "Cold Hard Facts" about the MMO industry that will make themselves felt by game developers and players alike in the foreseeable future.

Grinders is a new weekly cartoon here at Massively devoted to chronicling your adventures in your favorite MMOs! If you have a funny story or just a funny character, submit your tale complete with a screenshot to lemuel.pew@weblogsinc.com. The best will be etched in stone and displayed in the town square for all to see. Or just put in the comic.

While Tabula Rasa may have shut down all of the servers, this game is by no means forgotten. As many people head into their favorite gaming spaces this weekend to spend time with friends, at least one group will be missing their favorite MMO haunt. This salute to the end of Tabula Rasa comes to us from Mort, who sent along the follow brief note: [This is] a final salute to the fallen Earth from clan Kaka, [taken] at the Empire State Building. We have a few other final Tabula Rasa contributions, so we'll be adding those in the mix in the days to come - if you'd like to send yours and join the fun, feel free!

Aion consistently amazes us with these video flybys of the various zones in the game world. Poeta, however, is exceptionally jaw-hinge-swinging due to its -- and we say this with a supreme amount of joy -- Final Fantasy XI and Guild Wars influences. Specifically, the music has a certain "Eff Eff" feel to it while many of the more tropical zones took us back to Maguuma Jungle in a wonderful way.

We appreciate a developer who goes back to earlier content and improves upon it. And to that end, our appreciation of those who go back to the very beginning knows no bounds. That's why we're quite pleased with Turbine for rolling out their "New Player Experience" changes with the free Volume II: Book 7 update to Lord of the Rings Online.
